My name is Tanner Partain and I do pottery in Grand Prairie, Texas. I mostly throw on the wheel but I do a little bit of sculpture and slab work as well. I focus predominantly on making high-quality, fully functional (read: durable, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, whatever it needs to last forever and make your life easier) items that bring beauty into my customers’ every day lives

I’ve been making pottery since I took a high school ceramics class in 2012 but Partain Pottery really came into being in Fall of 2024 when I realized that if I wanted to keep getting better I needed to get serious and I was blessed enough to be in a position to really go for it and make it my main focus
Pottery is about 60-70% of my working time right now, but my top goal for 2026 is to get to the point that I can make it 100% of my working time

So all that to say, this has been a long path to get here and I hope to get to keep on this journey for a long time to come!
